Re: The Size of Birds

>>Ever think to check my Details on segment? 115 mm.<<
Imagine my surprise when I found that Details on... in the Dinosauricon's
databanks. I must have been on vacation that day.

>>>     C. chuonzhous

>>These are synonymous with the type species (see Chiappe et al. 1999).<<
Those species aren't valid?

>>Chiappe et al. also state that although they have not examined the specimen,
at least some of the supposed diagnostic traits of C. dui fall within the
range of variation in C. santus.<<
I would be _very_ surprised if C. dui and C. sanctus were found to be
synonomous. I've seen HP Tracy Ford's diagram of C. dui and it looks _nothing_
like C. sanctus. Based on that reconstruction, I wouldn't have put them in the
same genus.

I believe this is actually a leaf.<<
Hmph. Yeah, like the spines on Longisquama's back are palm fronds? I painted a
pretty little Longisquama with a naked back because of that little nugget of
wisdom.  :)

Thanks for the help
