I don't remember if he was the first, but I think Greg Paul suggested
in PDW that tyrannosaurids could perch themselves upon their huge
pubic boots.  Don't know that anyone's looked further into this...

I haven't the foggiest, but I'd guess not if they wanted to get up
again.  My old man has a hard enough time lifting himself up off the
ground.
