Subject: Epidendrosaurus vs. Czerkas' undescribed specimen

Remarkably enough, Epidendrosaurus is not the same as the taxon Czerkas
showed at the Florida Dinosaur-Bird Symposium in 2000. Epidendrosaurus has
longer postorbital processes on the frontals and a much longer tail, though
they share very similar manual and pedal construction. Czerkas' taxon also
has a pelvis preserved, though the pectoral area is unknown. So the
original "aye-aye maniraptoran" is still undescribed.

And you know this 100 % how? It hasn't been published on yet (Just so
everyone knows, it is at the printers and should be out soon. I'll let you
all know when it's available). Do you remember what the specimen looked
like? The skull is preserved differently and the tail isn't complete.

You may be surprised about this assumption.

It would be great if they weren't but...
