RE: pterosaur nostrils



Normally I would agree that the nostrils should be well forward in the bony 
nares. But in the birds with really big bony nares most like those of 
pterosaurs, cranes, the nostrils are set pretty much in the middle. And you 
can see right through them from side to side. Pretty cool.
