Attacks on list and non-list members

The recent personal attack on a list member has been dealt with off-list.
No matter what "sensational" information the poster had, this was not the
forum on which to reveal it.  This list is for the scientific discussion of
dinosaurs, not listers' other interests, involvements or careers.  There is
no background investigation when joining the dinosaur list, so as long
as the poster is on-topic and abides by the rules governing the list, he
is welcome.  If he ignores the rules, he is not.

Further discussion of this topic on-list is strongly discouraged.
