Swinton, London, Thomas Murby and Co., 1934. There used to be a copy of this at the Minneapolis Public Library when I was a kid. It was illustrated with photographs of sculptures (by Vernon Edwards?) in minature natural settings that were really quite nice. The other contender would be W.D.Matthew's _Dinosaurs_,1915, a publication of the American Museum of Natural History and probably only available from the museum.>> Hi Dan!......8^( . 1901?
and,...adressing Jeff Hect since the topic now is also PDW,

printing technology remains much more expensive, which is a problem for things like PDW.)>> Why would that be a problem for a book with no color
illustrations?? (I know..."gnit"
