For me, I did to go two, just two, Commuity College art classes. I
didn't learn what I wanted to so I never went back. I had to learn
stippleing all on my own (Thanks mainly to George who needed stipple
drawings, I learned how to do it).>

  Just to add my bit in, I went to an "art school" for three sessions,
pricey ones, and all I was shown was something I'd learned three years
ago. On my own. Art class in middle school was dissapointing:
calligraphy---I did learn to do ribbons, though :)

  It's a great disappointment, I've noticed, that some people are
willing to walk away from something like try to make something of
their artistic talents. The imagination is perhaps man's greatest
tool, and in some, it goes unexpressed due to, I think, low
self-esteem. Despite this, friends see me draw, say they can't do as
well or that theirs stinks, and all I can do is stop, and help
motivate them, get them proud of their own skill; some are surprised
that it's taken me almost two decades to get where I am, and I do not
think my skill is very great. I look at Greg's, Brian's, Tracy's,
Luis', and Mike's work, and I am envious. They have had a decade and
more to perfect their skill.

  That's what I tell my friends. I am still learning, and there's not
end. Now personally, I prefer shaded pencil, but Donna Braginetz'
stippled diagrams are _excellent_, perhaps the best I've seen ever,
and the detail is incredible. It was a shame to find only one or two
of her drawings in Sues (1997), and one image was barely a
line-drawing (not by Donna).
