Found this article in the LONDON TIMES, May 27, 1994:

RARE DINOSAUR FOUND

The remains of a carnivorous dinosaur, common in the United States but
believed to be unknown in Britain, have been unearthed in the Isle of
Wight. The find, made by staff at the island's geological museum, may be
a close relative of Allosaurus which roamed across America 150 million
years ago. The exact location of the find is being kept secret. Steve
Hutt, curator of the museum, said be believed the creature was a
long-faced, fast-moving predator 25 to 35 ft long, which lived in the area
around 120 million years ago. The find was made during a re-dig of an
existing site.
