As a rule, I don't post final versions of papers I posted earlier in preprint or advance form as long as the doi and the urls remain the same. In some cases, though, text and titles may have been revised, which would justify a new posting. Arguably, the final citation for a new taxon would also justify a new posting. Note that some publications do change the urls for abstracts and pdf links when the final versions come out (even with no text changes apart from issue citation), although the doi in principle would remain the same.Â

Springer has changed their basic link to a secure https://link.springer.com/ from an older http: link. When I clicked recently on some older versions of Springer papers, I got an error message that went to the old http address. However, it now appears that Springer has updated the old links to go to the revised urls. In any case, reposting a paper in final form does no harm, especially when there is a long gap between advance publication and final publication (more than a year). Also, there may be new people on the list who did not get the original post.Â

It was published on 29 September 2018. What has only happened this year is that it was printed and included in an issue.
