I need two helps by mammalian nature, so if someone can help me, please reply off list.

I need:
1) to know the etymology of the hyaenid CROCUTA.
2) the reference(s) for the giraffid BIRGERBOHLINIA SCHOUBI (if someone has
  even the pdf, it is welcome!).
