Only defence?  There's also:

Body armour - in many titanosaurs and _Agustinia_ (if it isn't a titanosaur)

Tail-club - as in _Shunosaurus_

I'm glad you mentioned colossal size - good for kicking and treading on those pesky theropods. Defense is probably the reason sauropods got so big in the first place.
