Re: Arizona T-rex Museum Questions and eggs
I believe you are referring to _Macroelongatoolithus xixiaensis_. Although
first considered a therizinosaurid, the associated embryo, "Baby Louie,"
has
since been identified as a giant oviraptorid.
A couple thoughts:
How different would an oviraptorid embryo be from a therizinosaurid embryo,
given that the two lineages are closely related and an embryo may look very
different from an adult?
Though if it is a giant oviraptorid, could the eggs possibly belong to
Deinocheirus (I know it's currently considered an ornithomimosaur, but with
only the arms, its position is still rather uncertain)?
