A truly frightening thought, but if they were small, it would take a lot
to be a bother to a host that size.
Brian W Aldiss once wrote a short story ("Poor Little Warrior") about a man
who travels back to the Mesozoic to hunt dinosaurs. He shoots a sauropod
only to get killed by the parasites swarming off the dead body. Intestinal
worms would hardly be much of a threat in that respect though.
