Isn't _Alamosaurus_ the only known Cretaceous, North
American sauropod?

Perhaps not. There have been suggestions (sometimes published) that _Alamosaurus_ has been used as a wastebasket taxon for LK titanosaurs from the southern US. The totality of material referred to _Alamosaurus_ appears to be morphologically incompatible with just a single species.
