Please remember that you do not have to be a paleontologist to be a member of 
SVP.  I got in as a geology student, and am yet but a preparator.


But the solution to Dinoman types performing (with inflatable dino toys, no 
less) in your local schools is to EDUCATE YOUR LOCAL EDUCATORS.  Turn them on 
to the many museums with outreach programs (they come to you instead of having 
to transport the kids), videoconference capabilities, or educational loan 
collections.  In this way schools won't be forced into using folks who should 
really be saying "I'm not a paleontologist, but I play one on TV"
