This Luddite has no  quarrel with digital art and I loved the effects in JP. 
I've been doing  backflips on DML about John Conway's work. To me, the problem 
is the obsession  of making the images into photos or frames from a film. 
It's also a bit  troubling that a pub like Geographic would no longer have use 
for someone like  Jay Matterness or Gurche anymore unless they were plugged 
into 
Photoshop. And  absolutely forget about Doug Henderson.
The effect, to me,  is making everything look the same and becomes trite and 
boring like a lot of  the films have been recently. You can take my brushes 
when you can pry them out  of my cold dead fingers. DV
