Correct -- but impossible in PAUP*. I'd advocate to code the characters in a
way that minimizes inapplicable codings, like making one character for all
trigon morphologies, with absent = (0) and a stepmatrix to turn this into a
bi- or more -furcating ordered character. Or, of course, to use NONA, which
actually does treat "inapplicable" and "unknown" in different ways.
