Once upon a time,  the Washington Biological Survey banded a bunch of
crows for a survey of some sort.  The crows were banded, and the band
said,  Wash. Biol. Surv.  Later, the band was returned with the
following note;

        "We did what you said .  We washed it, and bioled it and surved
it.  It was turrible!"

Maybe shouldn't take things *too* literally?
