Thanks for the reassurances.  They do make me feel better about things.  But 
I do know of a person in the paleontological world who has a history of 
"cracking" into computer systems and changing things, so I'm still rather 
untrusting.

Actually, no.  I've never bought anything off of the internet with a credit 
card and I don't intend to.  Anything that I can't reserve and buy with a 
check, I don't need.  Including airline tickets - I had absolutely no 
problem reserving tickets for SVP with an airline at the internet rate when 
I called and asked them to match it.

I find that extremely amusing - the fact that someone doing something 
illegal wants to be distinguished from a different criminal is hysterical!  
As I said before, some people have way too much time on their hands.
