Sure it has nodes. They're where the stems come together, to give you what 
Sereno calls a node-stem triplet. You can even name them. And of course there 
are plenty of nodes within the stems, too, so everyone can be very happy. 
I'll have more to say about this in a day or two, after I get out from under 
my current workload.

Stem groups are good.
