Merci to Jean-Michel Benoit for translating the important anatomical
features.
My French is too poor to determine if Allain regards the following names as
subjective (i.e. referred material) or objective junior synonyms (different
names for the same material) of _S. altfordensis_:
_Streptospondylus rostromajor_ sensu Owen, 1842
_Streptospondylus cuvieri_ Owen, 1842
_Laelaps gallicus_ Cope,1867
Can anyone help?
(What is clear from Allain's work is that _Piveteausaurus divesensis_ is
distinct from _S. altfordensis_.)
It was also my impression (from other sources) that the site which yielded
_Laelaps gallicus_ was unidentified (apart from being somewhere in
Normandy). How sure is Allain that the _L. gallicus_ type material comes
from Vaches Noires, Calvados?
Some vertebral features
link _Streptospondylus_ with _Eustreptospondylus_,
According to Oliver Rauhut, _Eustreptospondylus oxoniensis_ belongs in
_Magnosaurus_.
