It is surely not to be thought impossible to coin an adjective, if you
want an equvalent to 'birdy'?  (_Do_ you want an equivalent to 'birdy'?
I can't recall a written description of a highly derived theorpod which
says 'this was a birdy animal'; 'bird-like' seems entirely sufficent.)
