Reworking: When a fossil erodes out of a layer and falls or is carried intact
(by flowing water, say) into a different layer, where it gets reburied. When
found, it appears to be of the age of the layer it is found in, rather than
of the age of the layer it was originally buried in (which might be miles
away or gone entirely).
