Brian- "reworking" probably means like changing something. That's only my opinion, though.

No, no.

Think of it as this. An animal dies and is buried at a certain time/age, say the Lance Formation. It fossilizes. During the Miocene it is uncovered due to weathering, is moved either a lot or a bit and is reburied into that time/age. Thus a dinosaur is found in Miocene deposits but it didn’t live then.

This is the simple explanation for the term reworking.
