Re: Tanycolagreus topwilsoni



Many thanks to HP Irmis for sending me the photos he
took of "Tanycolagreus topwilsoni." Just a few
questions, though. Would you expect this animal to
have such a reduced distal fibula? Also, does anyone
know if that skull is a cast reconstruction or fake?
It looks phoney, but maybe that's how this critter
actually looked? The 2nd manual digit looks freakishly
elongated, and the claws look almost therizinosauroid
in their curvature. All-in-all it reminds me more of
_Compsognathus_ than _Ornitholestes_. If anyone has a
scanned skeletal photo or drawing of _Coelurus_ I
would like to compare the two side-by-side. Thanks
