And let us not forget the north Pacific murrelets (_Brachyramphus spp._), 
which live most of their lives at sea but nest in the relatively 
predator-rich forest.  When the chicks are ready to leave the nest, they have 
to drop (!) to the forest floor and run (!) to the shore to join their 
parents.
