Re: venomous Dilophosaurus



I'd just like to share some information I learned from HP Ford which
affects venomous theropods.

In proving that theropods were lipless, and pointing out that theropods
lacked external oral glands, this rules out a venom system akin to that of
squamates.  Venom glands in snakes, for example, are modified external oral
glands.  If dinosaurs did not have this gland, they could not modify it,
and thus could not be venous, in the same way.
