Jurassic Park and paleontologists

After many of the comments and criticisms and suggestions made about JP3 on
the DML recently, I have come to the conclusion that maybe Jack Horner was
the only consultant because too many of the other people they talked to were
insisting on realism over spectacle....not that realism is bad, but the JP
series isn't Walking With Dinosaurs, and it's not being touted as a
documentary.

As for the kids who think that "raptors" looked and behaved like the JP
raptors; well, the movie certainly go them talking, didn't it? A lot of
people got interested in dinosaur studies after seeing Charles Knight and
Rudolph Zallinger's paintings, though they weren't "correct"; who's to say
that the next great mind in dinosaur science didn't get that interest
sparked by watching Spinosaurus and T.rex fight on the big screen?
