T-Rex hunting habits?

I've received this letter, but am unable to give the comprehensive answer (too
busy at the moment). Can somebody from the list please, answer:

Thanks! Beri

Dear Sirs:

Some paleontologists believe T-Rex was more scavenger than hunter. Several
weeks ago, I saw a nature program. In it, a leopard wandering too close to
a river was attacked by a crocodile. The crocodile took a bite out of the
leopard, then retreated and waited for the leopard to bleed to death. It
did not appear that the crocodile met immediate resistance from the
leopard; it simply bit, then backed off to wait.

My question is: Could this have been T-Rex's hunting method, i.e. moving
in fast, biting, and waiting for its victim to collapse from loss of blood?
Is there any speculation out there on this? No one around here seems to
know much about it and I realize it may be impossible to prove.

Sincerely,
