Yes, another American Movie Classic, right up there
with IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE and FIVE EASY PIECES.  This is probably the worst
of the new Japanese Godzilla pictures.  It's not just bad -- it's
frighteningly
bad.

Aside from not being American, yes, it probably does rank with CHRISTMAS
KARO and JACK ANNOYS A WAITRESS as art.
(For those who have missed Karo syrup, it is sweet, very sweet.)
Still, if it has moments in which characters are overcome with sentiment
when Godzilla drives off guest-star monsters (because he wants to reserve
stomping down buildings to himself), you can say the Other Big Guy has more
heart than Arnold in most of his flicks.
