  If the question was "when dinosaur's feet hit the ground during locomotion,
did the toes hit the ground first, or did the 'back' of the foot hit first"
than perhaps I have some sort of answer.  Of course, I'm going to refer to
bipedal dinosaurs here since I'm using emus as an example.  I've watched many a
slow motion tape on ratites, and it appears that the toes hit first.  There
were a few cases where the 'heel' hit first, but those occured when the animal
twisted and turned in an odd fashoin.  I hope that helps somewhat.  I know that
there are those, like Horner, who believe that the 'heel' hit first, at least
for the tyrannosaurs.
