I don't think that for example I.bernissartensis is the female and I.
atherfieldensis is male, in fact there is relatively little individual
variation and osteologically these two forms appear to be perfectly distinct
and valid species.
For the paraphyletic Iguanodon actually I don't known for certain, but I
have read some paper on Iguanodon and I have a suspect that within the genus
Iguanodon there are two lineage, one bernissartensis like and another
atherfieldensis like.
But I have a lot of problem in the identification of characters in some
species (es. I. hoggii, I. fittoni etc)
