Dinosaur TV Week
Here are some highlights of U.S. national television
programming concerning dinosaurs, other prehistoric
animals and evolution, from high art to low trash and
(hopefully) back again, all times Eastern (check local
listings to confirm):
Monday, July 26
Discovery Channel, 1:00am (rebroadcast Sunday at
6:00pm)
The X-Creatures
Sculder and Mully. Includes a creature that _Physeter
macrocephalus_ often puts on a cracker, the giant
squid, and the Loch Ness nothosaur. So there may be
some discussion of actual marine reptiles (long shot).
Discovery Channel, 9:00pm (repeats midnight, and
6:00pm Saturday)
Three Minutes to Impact
Discussion of the effects of a strike by a large
extraterrestrial object on the earth. Will
undoubtedly include discussion of the K/T impact.
Tuesday, July 27
TRAVEL Channel, 9:00am (rebroadcast Sunday, 9:00am)
Travels with Mom
"Southern Alberta: Cowboys and Dinosaurs"
A regular, for some insane reason.
Saturday, July 31
The Learning Channel, 8:00pm (rebroadcast midnight)
The Intimate Universe
"Life Story"
Human evolution.
Sunday, August 1
TRAVEL Channel, 9:00pm
The Trailblazers
"Mongolia"
Includes discovery of dinosaur eggs. It's a travel
show.
Question: why do some theorize that women think that
birds are selfish pigs?
