Here are some highlights of U.S. national television
programming concerning dinosaurs, other prehistoric
animals and evolution, from high art to low trash and
(hopefully) back again, all times Eastern (check local
listings to confirm):

Saturday, July 24

Discovery Channel, 4:00pm
Nature's Death Traps
Oh shoot; guess I'll die here then.  Animals that got
trapped and fossilized.

Sunday, July 25

Discovery Channel, 9:00pm
The X-Creatures
Giant Squid and "Loch Ness Monster."  Somewhere in the
world (probably deep underwater), Dr. Roper has an
intense headache due to this lumping-together.  But
who knows, this may have some intelligent discussion
of plesiosaurs.  (Pathetically, hope springs eternal.)
