Dinosaur TV Week
Here are some highlights of U.S. national television
programming concerning dinosaurs, other prehistoric
animals and evolution, from high art to low trash and
(hopefully) back again, all times Eastern (check local
listings to confirm):
Monday, July 12
American Movie Classics, 4:45am
The Valley of Gwangi
If the tape hasn't broken yet. Mexican allosaur goes
hog wild.
History Channel, 9:00am
The Real West
"Dinosaur Hunters of the Old West"
Those old rivals -- Varner and Everhart. Everybody
knows that those big sea lizards were dinosaurs --
right?
Tuesday, July 13
American Movie Classics, 6:30pm (rebroadcast 1:00am)
The Beast from 40,000 Fanthoms
Atomic blast generates in giant dinosaur-lizard a
craving for Nathan's.
Weekend of July 17-19
Apparently CBS affiliates
"World Wild Web"
Don't know what this is, but it includes a segment on
a dinosaur skeleton. Airs in New York, for instance,
on WCBS-TV on Friday at 3:05am.
