predentary bone

Could any provide information regarding the embryological origin of the 
predentary bone. Did it arise de novo in the ornithischians or did it have a 
homolog that can be detected in ancestral forms. Are there any studies on 
the trends of the origins and fixation of neoostia in dinosaurs. Further 
regarding ornithishchian osteoderms: are there any reasons to assume the 
real homology of those in Scutellosaurus to those in the later Thyreophora.
