  O.K. Actually most of the giant squid material consists of the pen which 
supported the body. They run up to six feet long in the Pierre Shale, so 
we're talking big squid here. It makes you wonder if the seaway wasn't just a 
froth of thrashing, biting carnivores of every description. Mmm...I'm going 
into a theme song here. DV.
