You have to go to the expensive resin sculpts like
McVey's Tyrannosaur or Trcic's (both of which are
ultra-cool) to get a model as nice, and neither of
them has the forelimbs as restored by Horner.

The sculptor of the Battat _T. rex_, Greg Wenzel, is
considering doing a sculpt of a T. rex in 1/35th scale
as a resin model. With the mouth closed! Let's hope
he decides to make time for it. It would go great
 with his superb _Triceratops_.

 Enough model talk.

I think that it would be very interesting to hear from Larry and Chris and
anyone else (especially Holtz and Brochu) about the correct modeling of
Tyrannosaurus; common errors to be avoided, new information from new
specimens, etc. I emphatically urge this not to turn into a discussion of who
is a better sculptor type of thing. A glance at Prehistoric Times magazine
reveals many ideas of what everybody's favorite dinosaur (all right, almost
everybody's) looked like. I'd love to hear some observations based on the
evidence and from people familiar with the problems involved visa-vi anatomy
and dinosaur science. For instance, what is the Horner (or Matt Smith?)
Tyrannosaurus rex arm vs. the others issue and what is the current state of
the art idea(s) about same. Also information about websites with skeletal
material or models would be useful. Dan Varner.
