Lineman wear artificial protective padding.  T rexes don't.  And yes,
people die playing football-usually of snapped necks (even WITH the
protective padding)

Race horses that collide during a race are usually too damaged to treat
and are usually destroyed.
The jockey (not padded) is usually very very broken if not killed
outright.
I have a friend who was a professional jockey till a collision and fall
caused the horses' hooves to crush his chest and rip his throat out.
The scarring is way impressive.
