I've recently contacted some local bird hunters who have agreed to provide me
with a few specimens after this year's bird season. Usually, bird hunters are
interested only in the meat and the feathers. Mature wild bird carcasses get
around the problem of undeveloped bones, missing feet, etc. Possessing wild
animal parts without a permit isn't legal everywhere, however.
