Not very compelling I think. I'm studying ceratosaur phylogeny, and I don't
think my final analysis will prove Ceratosauria monophyletic (but, who knows).
However, as I am a beginner in the subjet, Tom Holtz will explain this much
better than me.

Maybe, but I don't think so. Ceratosaur phylogeny is very difficult to
resolve, because of fragmentary nature of remains, and much homoplasy. Without a
major review of theropod phylogeny (I think Tom is on it), let's say that
Ceratosaurus might be a basal abelisaur or a basal carnosaur (don't ask
me why for now).

If there is, I'm not aware of it.

Mmm. This area of theropod phylogeny is so confusing that nobody would be
of great help without a major review, I think.
