Re: Allosaurus fragilis vs. "Creosaurus" atrox

Greg Paul describes this animal as A . atrox in ' PDW ' . It seems to be
the ' garden variety ' Allosaur , being more abundant
than A . fragilis in the Morrison formation . Distinguishing features (
according to PDW ) : bigger , more rectangular skull with smaller , less
triangular preorbital horns , longer, lower snout , shorter , more robust
neck , stouter forelimbs ; than A . fragilis . See PDW for reconstruction .
Otherwise , all other refs. I know of lump C. ( A. ? ) atrox with A .
fragilis . Hope this helps !
