Cladistics and Bravery
Forgive this blatant appeal, but what would life be if we didn't make it
every month or two?
Surely in this august (not to be confused with the month of the year)
body, there lives a soul brave enough to write a short series of short
articles explaining in short words just what the heck "cladistics"
means.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, there are some very fine articles that reside
with Jeff Poling and others, but they don't fit the definition: they are
long, they have long words, and a graduate degree is helpful but not
required as background.
Several folks have made noises about wanting to undertake this and then
"backed out" (I could be more colorful, but this is a family list, isn't
it? if not a pack-hunting list) for various legitimate reasons including
(first and foremost) words to the effect of 'I don't want to be attacked
by my peers for getting it wrong.'
Clearly, bravery is required here! Science is not written in stone
(irrespective of fossils)! It changes! The paradigm must be proposed in
order to be overthrown! An unproposed paradigm is a metaphysical
paradigm, perhaps even a psychic or even worse a non-existant paradigm!
So come on, folks, be the first! Go for it!
Contact me today! Don't wait!
Thanks!
ES.
