Just one problem with this: with one major exception, ceratopsian frills
are NOT solid; they are mostly soft tissue.  The bone is normally just a
rim around the outside.  (The one exception is _Triceratops_ itself).  Such
a frill isn't going to be useful in defending against a whole lot.

Instead of butting heads, consider "head wrestling" with deliberately
*locked* horns.
