A New Member's Hello

Dear Members of the Dinosaur Mailing List,

        My name is Daniel bordeau and I am a new member to the list 
but not the field.  I am fourteen years old, and have been deeply 
interested in paleontology since I was four years old.  I have been 
on the mailing list for two weeks, and over that time I have 
generated some thoughts and theories, here they are below:

1)  When NJPharris was talking about the Latin names of one of the 
species of the Genus Monotremes, I began thinking.  The Genus 
Monotremes is made up of three basic species - the duckbill platypus, 
and two other species of spiny anteaters.  What separates them into 
this genus is the fact that they reproduce through laying eggs, much 
like the dinosaurs.  It then is possible that when many people say 
that dinosaurs laying eggs is a lizard characteristic, it is most 
definitely a limited mammalian characteristic two.

2)  I recently was re-reading an article on the mystery of 
Tyrannosaurus rex's forelimbs, and through a little research I cam up 
with a less heard about theory.  It could be possible that the 
Tyrannosaurus would crouch in the under brush to capture prey.  He 
would support most of his body weight onto his hind limbs, but would 
put down his forelimbs just so he would not topple over.
