Robocop.  Die Hard.  Aliens.  Tremors (kudos to Brian Franczak).  The 
upcoming Mimic.  The dinosaurs deserve better than David "Carlito's 
Way" Koepp.  I'm glad a tyrannosaur ate him in TLW outside of 
Blockbuster.

This is a good opportunity for me to brace the list for a reliable 
rumor  concerning the third JP movie.  Sources in the sfx industry 
claim that, all posturing aside, Spielberg wants to get right back up 
and running on the third JP to have it ready for midnight December 
31, 1999 premiere showings.  Apparently it will involve (get this) an 
"ice age" which kills off most of humanity.  Malcolm survives this 
quite rapid ice age, as does some character played (apparently) by 
Elizabeth Shue.  The dinosaurs then take back their ancient realm. 
Rumor goes on to have it that Koepp and "two other screenwriters" 
have their ham hands on it already.

I did not make this up because I could not make up something so 
stupid.  So much for hopes that JP3 would be a sort of dinosaurian 
"Born Free", which I nurtured in my heart after seeing the end 
sequence of TLW.  I'd even prefer T-Rex Dundee with Paul Hogan.  
Didn't self-respecting dinosaur movies used to have the dinosaurs 
*killed off* by the ice age?
