He would say wrong, I believe, since the options for plural Latin
endings are:  -i, -ae, -a.  I failed to find my copy of Cassell's
Latin-English dictionary, however, in order to be authoritative on this
matter--but this seems to be a confusion of Latin with Greek endings.
