bio
Well, just to join in the fun...
I'm a 26-year-old, 2d-year pathology resident at the University of
California, San Francisco. I've pretty much been interested in
dinosaurs all my life, and have tried to keep up with current events
(finding this mailing list was a godsend!) and recent
discoveries/controversies.
As an undergrad, I majored in biology at the University of Michigan
(would have tried a double major with English or creative writing, had
out-of-state tuition not continued to rise prohibitively :) and had
Dr. Carl Gans as my senior thesis advisor ("Head-to-Body Proportions
among the Families of Sauria: A Broad-Range Comparative Study").
I went to medical school at the University of Chicago, where I
attempted to hobnob with Paul Sereno (and failed for the most
part--the last time I saw him, I congratulated him on the _Eoraptor_
discovery [obviously a few years ago] and he had this friendly but
slightly puzzled look, like "I know you from somewhere, but I can't
remember your name, who you are, or why you're bugging me while I'm
trying to have a quiet dinner at Medici's.") He taught part of our
1st-year Gross Anatomy class.
Other hobbies and interests: Creative writing, comic books/manga,
anime, science fiction, playing the saxophone and violin, martial
arts, sketching, clay sculpture, eclectic reading.
Fan of: _Babylon 5_ [Yes! :-) -- MR], _The X-Files_, _Ranma 1/2_, and
<gulp> _Sailor Moon_ :)
Email welcome!
