Re: T. rex vision

Larry and gang,
Aren't we taking the exact significance of T-rex vision too far?
We, the dinosaur buffs are quite concerned but I'll bet if you ask 100
people at random, only a couple will remember the "stay still" bit and
since they will never? meet up with a T-rex even those couple will not be
affected.
I put Jurassic Park in the same category as the Cousteau videos
in that they made a great number of people more dinosaur conscious, even
if there were serious errors. Cousteau made some abominable errors and
abused some of the original researchers in his videos, but he really
turned the viewing public on to the ocean. Hell, JP was far less
offensive to me than videos like Abyss, SeaQuest and the Stoneman series.
Obviously this is my oceanographic background talking. IMHO
