With the result that properly reconstructed the hand of Iguanodon
looks rather like a 'T' or a cross with a very thick upright.

This is supported by the known footprints, which show a small
lunate mark for the front foot (for instance, in the extensive
footprint beds of the Dakota Sandstone in Colorado and adjacent
states).
